Judy Garfinkel spent over 10 years as a professional ballet dancer as a company member with the National Ballet of Israel, The Eglevsky Ballet and The Feld Ballet.

 

After her ballet career, Judy taught ballet at Sarah Lawrence College for nine years. She created and taught the movement/dance program at the Mead School where she also served as Mead's Professional Development Director, a role mentoring new teachers that developed her expertise in personality types, learning styles, curriculum delivery, and self-care techniques.

 

Judy's ongoing curiosity about the relationship between physical expression, creativity, embodied learning, and personal transformation led her to pursue a Master of Arts Degree in Holistic Thinking. From there, she became a Board-Certified Career Transitions Coach, an ICF-ACC,  a Certified Focusing Professional and a Trauma Informed Coach (2022).

In addition to her coaching career, on occasion Judy performs with Heidi Latsky Dance (a physically inclusive dance company) . She also teaches improv dance classes (Zoom classes and in-person) for the Moving Arts Collective (MAC).
